Free School Meals

All primary school pupils in South Lanarkshire receive a free breakfast and lunch every day.

• Primary 1 to 5: Free school meals are automatic, regardless of family circumstances.
• Primary 6 and 7: Free school meals if your family is in receipt of the Scottish Child Payment. Contact the school to apply.

Secondary Education

Most Blantyre pupils progress to Calderside Academy (Calder Street, G72 0AX, 01698 384384). Calderside Academy is a non-denominational secondary serving S1–S6. Catholic pupils may attend St John Ogilvie High School.
