Estates Strategy 2026–2036
South Lanarkshire Council is asking how its proposed ten-year plans for buildings and service locations could affect residents, local groups and access to services. These are proposals for consultation, not final decisions.
Local proposals include:
- Blantyre Leisure Centre: work to reduce operational carbon emissions.
- High Blantyre Primary School: boiler replacement.
- Auchentibber Adult Training Centre: carbon-reduction work and improvements to the building’s condition.
- Bardykes children’s residential care home: care-facility improvements.
- Hunthill Football Pavilion: identified as surplus or under-used in the proposed changes.
If a particular building matters to you, name it in your survey response and explain how the proposals could affect the people who use it.
Closing date: Tuesday 29 September 2026.
Read the consultation, view the local proposals or complete the survey.
The council says responses will inform a report to its Executive Committee in October 2026. We will link the report here when it is published.
